I always enjoyed watching the nuthatch work its way down the branch to the feeder that hung just outside my window. Missing them after moving, inspired this piece. Nuthatches are always so inquisitive as to what is going on around them. I am always trying to take in my surrounding during walks through the woods. So many things can be missed with just a casual observation, but when we really look there is so much activity and beauty in nature.
