The Art of Nancy Murty

Capturing the Beauty of Nature

Nancy Murty is a gifted artist who produces mesmerizing oil paintings that draw inspiration from the beauty of nature. Her artworks brilliantly capture the interplay of light, shadow, and color across the American landscape, bringing them to life. Though her art is primarily realistic, it also incorporates elements of abstraction and Impressionism to create a dynamic and energetic feel in each piece.

During her college years, Nancy initially focused on studying Physical Therapy, but she later discovered her true passion for painting. Consequently, she decided to pursue an education in the arts at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. After completing her studies, Nancy worked in advertising for seven years before establishing her own studio, named Bee Creative. For years, she worked as a fabric and pattern designer in the quilting industry. However, she eventually realized that painting was her true calling. As a result, she decided to close Bee Creative Studio in 2013 and focus solely on her painting career.

Nancy is a passionate artist who is committed to continuously improving her craft. She actively seeks out opportunities to enhance her skills through workshops and demos. In her free time, Nancy volunteers at the Braddock Bay Bird Observatory during the spring and fall migration seasons. By doing this, she develops a deeper understanding and connection with nature, which she then incorporates into her artwork. This creates an authentic and insightful perspective in her pieces.

Originally from Wilson, NY, a town with a strong agricultural background, Nancy now resides in Rochester, NY. Follow Nancy on a visual journey where she not only inspires but also invites viewers to experience the magic of her unique creations.
